Assessment Procedures

As previously discussed, the assessment procedure for determining whether your application conforms to this provision is a simple process. Utilize the following steps to perform your test:

  • Open the application to be tested.
  • Search for animated objects.
  • Make note of animation that does not convey its information by means of another method (i.e., captions). These are the animated objects that will need to be addressed during remediation.
  • There may be tools to automate this procedure. Since all twelve provisions can not be measured in an automated way, manual test procedures must accompany any automated processes used to ensure complete testing is performed, and eliminate inaccurate results.
