Development and Remediation Guidelines

Several programming techniques can be utilized to produce (or remediate) a form so that it can be read by assistive technology. These techniques involve:

  • Providing keyboard alternates for navigation purposes.
  • Placing labels in a location relative to the associated data entry field.
  • Designing form controls that have data entry fields follow a left-to-right, top-to-bottom format.
