The Office of Naval Research (ONR) will host the first multi-agency National Disability Employment Awareness Month Open House on October 27, 2015, in partnership with:
- Department of Justice
- Department of State
- Department of Education
- Department of Homeland Security
- Customs and Border Protection
- Federal Emergency Management Agency
- Transportation Security Administration
This year's event highlights the Department of Labor's theme, "My Disability is One Part of Who I Am", featuring a diverse panel of individuals with disabilities who will share their journey to Federal service. We also have a dedicated group of accessibility professionals who will discuss the benefits of the Federal Government's unified approach to testing for Section 508 compliance. If you are a federal employee or contractor interested in learning more about the types of tools that are available for people with disabilities, come see an exciting live demonstration of assistive technologies and service dogs. Show your support for our fellow colleagues during this important, informative, and educational event designed to highlight the contributions of our disabled federal workforce.
This event is open to Federal Government employees and contractors only.
Please note that seating is limited, so secure your spot today!
