Module 5: Structure Headings

Voice Over (VO): Welcome to the Andy Structure Headings module. The purpose of this module is to inspect each visual heading on the page and validate it is programmatically defined. To start, open a web page and launch Andy. Next, choose the Select Module drop-down menu and navigate to the Structures module. Once selected, the number of programmatically defined headings will be displayed at the top of the page. To evaluate programmatically defined headings, select the Headings button. All programmatically defined headings will be highlighted with a dotted purple outline. Next, select the previous element or next element button to navigate between headings on the page. Once a heading receives focus, it is highlighted with a solid pink outline. Review the Andy output to verify that only visual headings are programmatically determinable. A visually apparent heading passes if it is programmatically defined. A visually apparent heading fails if it is not programmatically defined or if text is incorrectly defined as a heading. The test does not apply when there are no visual or programmatically defined headings. This concludes the Andy Structure Headings module.
